| I did not know that Britains has made comich figures  So I had to get these to see ifthay were REALLY Britains   Westie shows the size...they are rather large  And they ARE made by Britains  Can anybody tell me anything about them ? _________________  SUSANNE |

| Hi Susanne Britains made these for just a few years. My guess they made them to compete with Playmobile and Lego Duplo animal figures. These German/Danish figures must have made an impact on Britains "real life" and effected their sales. So Britains responded with these comic looking animal figures. I will take a scan of the catalogues these were issued in so that readers can see the full range offered. BTW great finds.  _________________ Chris |

| I have a few of these models and they also made a farm set and they were called Young Britains and as said before they were only issued for a short time. |

| The series were called "smalle series", and were mostly in the back of the Britains catalogues, starting in 1990. I had so much catalogues scanned and put here, but all of the pics seems to be vanished, aaarrggggghhh! Here are some pages again:  1990 page 15  1990 page 16  1991 page 12
