Papo 2013 retired - predictions

Martin, the answer is in the begining of the topic. Because it is too big! :)
As you know, hippos are among the largest animals, the Papo hippo goes nicely with Schleich zebra. But it is too large when compared with Schleich hippo. Considering that Schleich sizes are always correct what is the solution?
Well, maybe many of us already had this doubt before! :)
Also, this is a 2nd generation figure from Papo and will not be retired, it is also a tremendous figure and when figures are nice must be kept while other of lower quality are not replaced. :)

Yeah but... that´s Papo. They have some scale problems compare to other brands... Kudu, okapi, oryx, lions, rhino ... I think they will not change that. Maybe Schleich is too small

Is that a wish-retired list or the real info?

I think that it is time for the Texas longhorn bull to go. If they did a new bull, cow, and calf I would love it. The current model I think has to much muscling in front and not enough in the back.

Interesting prediction but why should they retire their best figures like lionesses or hippo or kudu???!!!
I hope these figures will stay in Papo range more and more years, as their lionesses still are most realistic of all brands

now i agree with you all it would be sad if they did retire but they are quite old now mabye if they did they might make new lions to go with the 2011 ones in the same colour i dont mind the size of them but i do hink the lioness is the most realistic lioness i have ever seen mabye in 2013 there will be a lying lioness like the schleich one which probaly wont happen.

old and too small mabye they will make a new female african elephant mabye it will look like the male but not trumping

the hyena is too cartoonish and needs to be resculpted mabye if they will reitre it mabye we might get a adult with cub or mabye 2 cubs

i love it but its in the wildife seires they should either retire it or put it with the prehistoric life

i know it came out in 2012 but its pose looks weird and i think papo will put the wildlife in countries like schleich

black panther
old and not good i think they should only keep the leopard with 2 jaguars

papo are probaly the only brand to my nolige that have probaly never taken a baby away from the adult

too smal and they need to make a bigger one

ostrich,kudu and gnu
too big for the scale

chimpanzee with baby
too small compared with the 2009 ones

tortoise
no reason i just think it will reitre

hippo and calf
same reason as the ostrich,kudu and gnu and the big cats exept for the panther too big and great but if a young child accadently droped the adult hippo onto its foot it might hurt it

polar bear and cub
old and outdated

fox
same reason as the polar bears

stag
old compared with the doe and fawn

the farm reasons will come later

i know but sometimes big figures or toys can ruin dioramas but is true and big figures like i said earlier about the adult hippo sometimes giant toys if a young child droped it it could hurt their foot and they adult hippos pose looks weird when you look at it sideways :-)

Dodo isn't a prehistoric animal, is only a modern extinct animal, as the Quagga for Mojo or the Pinta Turtle for CollectA, it's right that these animals are in the Wildlife series.
