William Stout murals

Hi everyone!

I just want to post a third (and final!) set of photos from my visit to the San Diego Museum of Natural History. The museum has amazing murals showing prehistoric life in the California area - up to 10 metres long (about 30 feet)! The twelve murals were completed in 2007 by William Stout, well-known as a fantasy artist. For anyone interested, a book called 'William Stout: Prehistoric Life Murals' has pictures of all the murals. I'm sure the artists among you will appreciate the skill and time required for the murals below.

They're amazing paintings, I'd never heard of this artist before.

Wow, fascinating paintings! I wish to see something like that in the city I live! It's so easy to imagine to step inside those paintings, really great cheers

Here we have only quite poor "surreal" mural paintings Sad

I wouldn't mind surrealism if they are great quality but it's too easy to see someone painted them too quickly and not put enough effort Rolling Eyes

Stout is one of my favorite paleoartists. I have two of his books, now I guess there's another one for me to buy!
