| Hey, when I first saw the new 2010 catalogue by Schleich last January, I was really uncomfortable about it. as you know, they have changed the style and the concept of their catalogue completely Well, the landscape formate ("querformat") is not such a bad idea I think, but I really dislike that they abolished the old classification of series. now there are just "farm life" and "wild life" in the animal category, and the old categeories such as animals in scale (dogs, sea life, prehistoric life and RS) forest animals, plants and human figures are gone. now the catalogue is much less clearly arranged! at the top of that, they even put in some articles more than just one time to make nice natural arrangements of the figures at each page. this might be more fitting for children who rummage in the catalogue, but for us true collectors it is much more difficult to get a nice overview of all articles quickly. what do you think?? do you like the new catalogue better than the old ones or not? I hope that Schleich will work this concept over for the next year, so that we will get nice and clearly structured catalogues as in the years before. postscript: please do the survey, it will help us to collect our opinions |

Same here, I also don't like how they repeat a picture of a model, like they're trying to pad it out or something. |

| And I am sure this is going to repeat for 2011,since Schleich discontinues nice scenery items and introduces more and more playful ones. |

| In general I like the new catalog. It's very well designed, nice style, good digital works (congrats to Andres) nice kind of paper, nice format, nice cover. What I don't like are mistakes. They call the leopard "jaguar" and jaguar they call "leopard" But in my opinion new way of segregating animals is much clearer and more logical, better than before. |

| I like the concept and design! The landscape view is truely nice! Collectors know that themes are easy to us. And some animals could be in different themes. They let this work for collectors and that's not wrong. More than the leopard and jaguar's confusion I like to see Emperors penguins chicks having a king penguin as parent, a sign of fast natural evolution!!! |

| I don't have any problem with the new catalogue too, besides from the jaguar and leopard mistake. I like the fact, that the animals are putted in the enviroment they are belonging to. And i don't see the problem with the penguin chicks, as they look very similar in both species, i extra looked on pics on the net for this... |

Makes the sculpting, painting, etc. During lots of years we've sawn a king-penguin with an emperor painting. Finally, in 2010 we see a real king penguin and the chicks are Emperors!!! Ok! That's not a problem!!! And adultes are very similar but chicks are easily known. But like you I don't like problems... let's see it has a funny thing... |

| I don't have an older catalogue to compare the 2010 to so I really can't give a yes or no. I don't know if that would be an honest choice if I hit "Partial" as a selection. |

| I like the cover but otherwise... Like many people here have already mentioned, it's really annoying that the same item is shown many many times on different pages. I mean it's a catalogue, not a picture book! And it was kind of brutal that the "animals in scale" series suddenly vanished! Well, if Schleich is now into making changes in the grouping of their series, they could finally make the horses and horse-related-stuff their own series instead of them belonging to "farm life" |

| I like and I don't like the new catalog. I mean, the cover is beautiful and decorative paintings too, but I don't understand why some animals or trees are in the catalog more than once. It's pointless and stupid. I also don't understand why the catalog will not show animals whose production is going to stop in that year. I liked more the old catalog, but the new one is ok. |

| Well, i see most of the votes went to disliking this catalogue. I still think the design and pics are nice(thanks to Andres indeed), but i understand that nobody likes mistakes and the fact that some models are in it more then once... |

Yes, I saw too that the trees were appearing in the catalog more than once... At first, I was wondering if my reasoning ability was declining... |

| I loved the landscape format. It makes the catalogue much more appealing, and I also like the clear white background and clear photos. It all looks very contemporary and nice and the front cover of the 2012 catalogue is the best out of all of them in my opinion
BUT I also agree that I dont like some items being printed more than once in the catalogue just to make a page look pretty. For instance the trees are repeated across many pages. It would be nice just to have the trees in one section and printed once. It makes it much more clear and concise for collectors to see each item just once. |

| Funny to see this subject again now, two years later. I almost can not remember that we opposed to the new format, - now they almost all have it |

I almost can not remember that we opposed to the new format, - now they almost all have it We love always more what we are used and when something changes usually the first reaction is negative. It happens also when new brands introduce in the market. If the figures are very similar with those we are used we call it copies, if they show a completly different style we don't like because they don't look with what we are used. Humans are hard to understand, I'm glad I reacted in a positive way to catalogues in landscape view and I'm also glad most brands are using this format. To be a crocodile has some positive points, I guess. |

| Well, afterwards, we got this stylle presses into our stumaches, so no choice actually. Bu the "bookstyle" was not to bad, but making a new catalogue with many mistakes into it, does not give a new concept a warm welcome normally, as in this case. But i guess, we accepted it all by now, and i think we should be satisfied... |
