the 82142 marbacher without branding???

Hi everyone,
Today I got finally my Special-Edition-Marbacher from 2011. But I notized that the Branding is missing its completly new with tag and in a closed plastic-bag. Did someone has the same "problem"? I even dont know if its a problem or big luck so im a bit confused that this elementary part was forgotten while the painitng and noone notized...

Wow, interesting! Could you sent a pic? Would be fun to see.. I think that you have now a really rare variation of a special edition horse- don't sell it! :)

Everybody can pay money and get one with the mark, - but the one you got is probably one i several thousand

Before you are lucky, please look if it really the marbacher ore the normal horse in bag.
Then think usually the branding make it to a spezial edition.
The Schwarzwälder Hengst 13663 costs 5 Euro, with branding from Marbach 82140 from 2009 it costs 40 Euro.

You are right, Peter, - it COULD be the Hannoveranian

I have tried to compare them here. The colours are perhaps not 100 % precise, because the picture is taken in artificial light.

But I hope it is possible to see, that the Marbacher is black, the Hannoveranian dark bay.

here are some Pictures of my special special Edition. I hope you can see the missing branding, i didnt want to take the horse out of the plastic bag yet. The tag on the last picture shows definitly the number 82142. It would be strange if someone would make a fake without painting the branding But im very curious about your reactions to the pictures

About removing the brand mark...I think that would be hard to do so that it is not visible.
But if I were you I would leave the horse in the bag..then there is absolutely no way it could be a fake

@ Susanne: I think you understood me a little bit wrong I thougt that even if someone would make a fake marbacher, he would never forget the branding, because its the most important part of the special edition

thank you for your comments, I will definitly keep my lucky find and when i have more space on my shelf, I will take it out of his bag

and then I will take better Photos. But taking a photo through plastic has almost never a good result

After taking it from the bag and puting on your shelf it will defintively turn in a very very special figure. A figure can be special because it is rare, because it is expensive, but surely it is more special when it is on our shelves and we enjoy it.

Make a cross in the calendar, - is also unusual

I think this horse should be left in the bag.
You can get the Marbacher with brand-mark, and the Hannoveranian without, and put them on the shelf.
But this particular horse should stay in the unopened bag to eliminate any doubt the it is the real-wrong thing

or ...of course, it is not my horses, so I shouldn`t decide

Susanne, it is nice not agree sometimes.
You are surely right. I don't collect according with this kind of singularities, they are not so special for me, so I'm surely wrong.
I was only supporting the idea of someone that is feeling very proud with a figure because of this singularity and that removing it from the bag could mean that that figure would be appreciated like a treasure, that will be not sold or kept to the posterity, but enjoyed, loved and be a part of a quotidian of the person who had the chance and lucky of finding it.
Surely I also support if the decision is to keep in the bag, give to someone or sell it as long as the result means more happiness to the owner.

In this case I would keep it in the bag, ot because of the value - I would NEVER sell it, if it was mine, but because it is probably the only one existing.
Taking out of the bag would be like painting a beard on Mona Lisa ...almost

And you are right, we all have different ways to collect. That is also the reason why some models/boxes/ paintings get so extremely rare

Its very interesting what you all think about this and how you collect :) for me it is just important that I know that its not a fake and a special figure I dont see collecting as an investment and dont make plans about selling, only about enjoying something so special (and even if i would want to sell, I would tell first at the forum )
but on the other side I can understand why I could leave him in its bag. While putting a special edition out of the bag it always feels like doing something thats not allowed but I really enjoy this moment, its fun
So, for some time he will stay in his bag, so i can be sure, that nothing happens and he doesnt get scratches. And when I re-organize my shelf and have a nice place for him, i will have an anarchistic moment of opening the plastic bag
