CollectA 2013 with pics !

Dartmoor ponies look fantastic! Fjords are not as thrilling, but they're also nice.
Tapirs are amazing - they are deally tempting, especially the baby one.

OMG, The Tapier is AWESOME, and the Deinotherium EPIC. CollectA became my favourite during 2012 as their releases were the best as far as I am concerned. 2013 looks set to be a repeat performance from CollectA; Yay, fantastic !!!!!

The Brahma Bull isn't simply a repaint, the new model is different and doesn't have horns :)

Oh I see now... The ears, horns, and head, tail, etc. seem to be slightly different. Didn't notice those other than the horns being missing before. Interesting.

I cannot announce anything until they do so first sorry but I promise you, many of you will be happy with some of the species coming out. However I can say that many animals that were due for release in 2013 have been put on hold due to several constraints but they will all eventually come out over the next few years.

Planning for 2014 releases is already under way!

I think i'm going to ask at my shop where I buy my Collecta and Proton animals, that it's time to order these horses for me please! (They only have the old horses)

Hi all

there were ambitious plans to release many new wildlife models but due to the current economic climate some cuts had to be made. We then had a finalised list of around 27 animals but then due to time constraints and the time to perfect each model we didn't make it in time so the amount is now less than half this amount BUT the trade off is to ensure the models are as accurate as possible.

CollectA are doing their best to make the animals as realistic as possible but we must all remember these are toy animals. CollectA use Deborah McDermott for the horses and their own sculptors for all other animals.

Anyway hold tight folks some nice surprises coming and a species that excites me the most which no one will ever have thought of making, a very very rare species indeed and there is nothing more I can say!

Schleich dominates most of Europe and so collectors will need to contact their CollectA distributors in their own countries to try and push them to get CollectA models sold throughout their country. It's hard work but hopefully CollectA will make a bigger impression.
