Only - a very young horse rarely looks so threatening, the are more prone to be humble to their elders and playfull to their young friends.

This is probably the most talked about figurine of 2013 so it definitely deserves to join our collections!

I like how Alvaro put the two horses facing each other. I still would like to see one horse with an opened mouth!

I find this model very unsettling to look at. The head is beautiful, but much, much too big for the body!

Prezewalski's do tend to have a short and broad muscular neck...
I was able to pet and feed them in a natural parc around here in 2007.
The pics are not all very sharp, but they show the short neck indeed.
When they strech out for food or anything else, they have longer necks of course...
The Collecta model could be the horse running, and just before stretching out the neck, it does make me happy this model, maybe just some minor changes on the neck and proportions...

Body length is practically unchanged. So are other proportions. Equines are not as flexible as e.g. canines - their spine is rather stiff.

And now, try to do the same with a photo of an average Przewalski horse and a photo of Collecta's model.

As far as the neck seems to be OK (it may be bent), the body is WAY too short. And that's a major flaw.

Thanks for the comparison pics. The body and neck of the fig are just a tad to short. Otherwise I really like the figure.
