Clouded leopard rework - Neofelis nebulosa

Finally!
A dream came true. I started in may and was too afraid to ruin the model to have a long break,...I didn't find the right idea to start with colouration, i even had "yellowish with brown spots" first,....
N.nebulosa is my favourite cat species so i was very keen on working on one.
basic figurine was the awful mcDonalds leopard, supplemented by some spare parts from a Schleich tiger, a safari tiger cub and a Made in china-tiger.

Philipp, congratulations for another great work.
Your option for a very complex patern is very brave. The work is very very good.
What can be a leopard with chubby and short legs? A clouded leopard? That was an excelent idea.
Time to make a Sunda Clouded leopard. I don't believe you are only an enthusiast of the continental species.
By the way, I transformed completely the way your pictures were arranged.

N.diardi is on my "todo"-list, but as you know, not first place I also didn't choose a figurine to start with yet, maybe collecta snow leopard?
Btw.. i still don't want so see a leopard in this creature.

It is hard to see a leopard there indeed! Again, great work!
I think I know a better figure to be reworked in a Borneo but I need to remember first what is a very hard task!

You have other nice projects before the Sunda clouded leopard so we will have time to discuss it.
