| I had to tilt the bear because he has trouble standing, so he's leaning on his deer friend for help. The hippo is actually longer, its just the angle I took the pic at. I got the deer from HobbyLobby, they already have the human figures from Mojo too, as well as a few other great mojos. My only issue is that he is quite big for a deer, bigger than other brands figures, but he is certainly a must have! And thank you guys for the comments. Also, I am expecting some new figures from Roger any day now, so I will be updating soon, I will post these along with a AAA humpback whale I got today for my baby whale I've had forever. Stay posted. |

| I got a few newbies today, however I am expecting some parcels to get here soon, so I will wait for them to get here first before I post. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | As promised, here you go! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Susanne sent me a plethora of great figures! The only ones I found myself were the AAA whale, and safari ltd. panda and manatee. She is better than Santa Claus as far as I am concerned. So, HUGE THANKYOU to Susanne for sending me some greatly sought after figures and some fantastic treasures! On a side note, I also found quite a few frogs and lizards (cheap figures) to repaint later. And many of the above mentioned figures add on to or finish families for me. The panda and manatee I had their babies for a loooooong time, the appaloosa was also parentless until today. I'd had the little humpback whale calf as a hand-me-down figure for years and just found a used mom for her. And the dogs are forever welcome and sought after, and the others I didn't even know I would want until I saw them. So, a fantastic day for collecting as far as I am concerned and such a great day to enjoy before Thanksgiving!

Thankyou for your kind words, friends
But no, no, it wasn't me ! The little doggies were all begging : We want to go and stay with Paige, please. please !!
So I am ever so happy that you gave them such a good reception @Nando, yes the lion cub and dog are both Hartung. @everyone else, Thank you so much! @Susanne, I suppose I really do attract dogs then. I am watching a neighbors boxer puppy while they are away on vacation for Thanksgiving, and though I think boxers are very pretty I have a slightly smudged opinion of them because of all the ailments we have practically bred into them. But this puppy for some reason is very domineering of strangers but she likes me a lot and respects my space at the same time. She is slowly repairing my opinion of them being one of the worst dogs to own due to medical ailments because she seems to give back by how much she loves people. |

| Ohhh, it sounds like you got a real friend there , Paige It is right that the owners of some kennels have been too obsessed with looks of the boxer, forgetting health ! Unfortunately it happens to lots of breeds. The sinners are really the ones writing the "standars", and the judges at dog shows, who go for the extreme But boxers are wonderful dogs ! People who have had a boxer never wants another breed, - at least the ones I know They ( the boxers) are very smart, - of course this one has seen that you are worth winning over |

| Of course they are sweet dogs. But that is the reason I couldn't have a dog like an English bulldog, I would have a hard time emotionally handling all they medical things they have, not to mention of course then they are expensive! If you look at a dog like the bulldog and compare the breed from the early 1900s or even the late 1800s and compare it to the breed today, it looks a THOUSAND times better because I would not have been susceptible to so many things like defects. Not to mention that we have bred that particular dog so that it cannot even have its own pups anymore. I'm not against the breed at all however, they are great companions and fantastic for those who don't have time to exercise and groom the dog like other breeds, but honestly in the anatomical sense, it is an animal disaster. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | You are so completely right ! And it has happened to several breeds of dogs, cats, cattle, - even horses ! I don't know what those people are thinking of ! Animals rights people surely have some work to do there !!!! |

| Great additions Paige! it seems like you're celebrating Christmas a bit early Boxers can be lovely dogs, but I agree with you, it is sad that all those breed standards are based on appearance and look only instead of health or anything But I have to say, it is getting a little better. More dogs like boxers are 'allowed' to keep their (long) tails and ears. I miss the time people still bred dogs for their uses, for workmanship instead of their look (> for shows > for money) (not that I actually can remember that time, but you know what I mean). On the other hand, I like the variety of dog breeds a lot. As long as people are conscious of the health of the dogs, I'm okay with it _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy |

| Yes I am celebrating Christmas early! Except I just remembered I forgot to include two great dog figures I got recently in the photo, I guess I will have to make a picture of them soon too. @A-J and Susanne again, yes I agree A-J, like I said if you compare certain breeds with their century older counterparts, they are much more healthy looking and capable of doing their original job. The original bulldog (I don't mean to pick on this breed specifically, its just the best example) was taller, lean, still a little boxy looking and very athletic. They had natural long ears and tails and longs legs to help them control cattle and other livestock for their owners. Now they are still charming and sweet (most of the time) but they are fairly lazy (again partly due to their general physiology and anatomy structure) and they can't do a single thing they were meant to. Yes it is getting better, and awareness is growing. Many breeds continue to breed for the better qualities for example, some poodle (any size) breeders in the US are trying to breed for the longer nose in the poodle so that they don't have breathing problems etc. whereas other breeders are breeding for looks and the short nose problem is becoming more common. Again, there are thousands of breeds that need work to become more healthy, and it will take more than decades for some to become "healthier" in the sense of their bodies. Anyways, off of my soap box now, and back to the original problem. Too many people care about the look and the attraction of the animal rather than the health. My dog Flynn is a good analogy. When we found him, (he's a cocker spaniel) he was so matted and dirty that he looked like a total lost cause. You could not fit a blade of scissors through his matting it was so bad. After he got cleaned up, bathed, cut, brushed, and fed decently for a little while, he is now the most adorable dog of his breed I know of, and everyone in our neighborhood who knew him as the nasty little thing running rampant through the neighborhood said he looked awesome. I know it sounds biased (and it probably is ) but its what underneath that counts. P.S. sorry this was so long. |

| Finally my package from Portugal arrived! I got the rhino, bull terrier and leopard from Roger, and the other two dogs I found at local cheap stores. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I am that much closer to having all the older Schleich figures, and my dog breed diversity is growing as well. Enjoy. P.S. HUGE THANKYOU to Roger! P.S.S. sorry for the poor picture quality, I just really wanted to share them and it is already dark here now.
