Mojo 2013 Honey Badger family

Wow!!! Another smaller mammal, another species from wish-list!!! I didn't hope to see a honey badger figurine in the nearest future, but now we'll have the entire family!!! (o)):

By the way, Ana, who made the decision to make not only a male, but a female with cub as well?

It is very difficult for us to get our hands on Mojo animals ... but we will really fight to

And I guess I will survive without a crested macaque family

Although Eggbert want to get incognito again I have to say that what I like best here is Eggbert's idea. Not of getting incognito but of introducing not only a species never released before for any similar brand but also introducing a family, a new family!
I don't collect families but I don't think a brand has to introduce what I need specifically in my particular collection. I think the brand has to introduce a range that can be transversal to all kind of collectors. We know that many people loves families and unless a new family per year is needed.
The female carrying cub is not absolutly original but Mojo is not giving us the traditional female big cat but a relatively small mustelid, more spectacularly, a criature that shares is habitat with the most powerful predators and although its small size is extremly brave and efficient defending her cub.
Nevertheless how well sculpted is a ratel, it will never be as spectacular as a gaur but no doubts that Ana and Mojo made a great work again!
Hahah, if I wanted a family it wasn't surely a tamandua, not even my extra beloved Iberian lynx. I'd rather the sumptuous sable with a female and a calf. I like families where animals have a huge difference as it happens with black widows!

This year for christmas I am giving dinoes and elves/horses to the younger children in the family.
Next year I am going to give them a bunch of these unusual ( for models) species, - and include links to a descriptions of the animals.

Hopefully the initiative of going beyond the eternal zebra, gorilla and horse, will teach children around the world about the diversity and beauty of our wildlife

I agree completely! These brands are giving us the chance of using these toys as really educational oobjects and we can use them for such purposes. Recently, I showed all my penguins to my niece and explained her the differences between them and also some curiousities. She got surprised with how many they are and her favorites are not the usual Emperors.

This makes me remember something I have often thought about

I like it that Safari has the name of the species moulded in the models .
It saves the grown-ups from the embarrassment of not knowing what animal it is, when the youngsters ask...or even worse : That the children are told something wrong

Ana, great honey badger family! The mother carrying cub reminds me of a video clip I've seen where the mother scares off curious zebras looking at her cub

Susanne, I agree, in my childhood days I've been repeatedly insisted that a honey badger is a skunk!
