Pfau 13728 Oh no

habe mir mal den Pfau im Geschäft angeschaut.
Bin erschrocken über die Qualität .

Ja, sieht aus als wenn ein 2 Jahre altes Kind es angemalt hätte.

Peacocks are among the hardest manufacturing figures. I am sure if it was released some years ago it would be excelent. But with recent lower Schleich standards quality it was a risky decision. The worst for the brand is that the 2 main European rivals, Bullyland and Papo, are also launching peacocks. I find the CollectA and Safari nicely painted figures. :)
From we can see of Catalogue picture, even if it is well painted, the layout of painting looks poor. However, the translucent feathers can be a good idea, need to check in real if I like the effect.

Yes, the idea wouldn't be bad or could be really good if it's better done. From the photos I think it's visible that it would be better if it's only semi translucent or with a bit more paint on it, then effect would look nicer

I must say that I was very surprised when I saw the photoes of that peacock

If they wanted to make something unusual, it woudl have been fantastic with a ma femal and a male with the tail down !!!!

But it looks to me like they just dicovered the miracle of clear plastic and use it all the time...like the children from last year and this year`s duck .
Or, - like Anna says, they could have made is semi-translucent, perhaps with a bit of colour in the material

It will be interesting to see how long it "lives" in the range, - perhaps children think it is pretty ???
