Well everyone, I was joking around on another thread about sending a figure from that famous company Hong Kong to a new friend on the forum and realized that wait, I should send a Schleich figure and it could be sent around the world from one forum member to the next! It would go something like this...I would take a photo and post it on this thread and then send it on to the next person. Whoever received the figure could write a little story (if they wanted) and would take a photo of it and post it and then send it to another person on the forum and it would go from one forum member to the next and on and on...until it ended up finally with say ~ Torben! I would like some feedback as to what figure it should be. It couldn't be very big because of the shipping cost...and maybe as Susanne mentioned to me, I would put a small booklet in with it that each person could sign and include with the figure to send on to the next person. So, what do you think? I was thinking of the Special 75th Anniversary "Custom" pig (see the 75th Anniversary thread - 1/2 and 1/2 spots and stripes) but am open to other suggestions. So, Kiki made a comment on that other thread that it was a good idea...really Kiki? but then you are crazy! Let's have some fun! ~ Sue

| I think this is a great idea! maybe an easy to find figure? also maybe each person could include a postcard from where they live and eventually they could all end up with you?

I will start it... Help me decide what figure to send. Must be a smaller one... we would send the same figure (a piglet or rabbit or?) from one person to the next... in the end it won't end up with me ... maybe with Torben in his great collection! lol ~ Sue

~ Sue Before you start sending anything, shouldn't you deicide a route for it to take? |

Sounds like a really neat idea. I agree that it should be probably a current release that way it can be easily replaced if it gets lost in the mail. That unfortunately happens from time to time.

I really love this idea! I think, it should be a Schleich mini or so, not to expensive and rare in case of lost in the mail, and small enough, to have low postal costs. Adding a postcard would be nice(with written something on it of course), to proof that the figurine was there indeed, and a pic on the forum, with something from the city or country where it was on the background, as an extra proof, before it was sended away to another member/place/country again... So you have my vote and welcome to this idea!

I have been thinking about this and I think the standing meerkat would be the perfect animal, still available, very lightweight and shouldn't cost too much to ship. Plus it would be neat to see one in all the different places around the world.

I talked with Torben about this idea tonight, and we both feel that this is a great idea! The choice of the standing meerkat is a good choice Amy, because it will look good with any background, because of his position, a queens choice!

The standing meerkat is a good one to consider. I was also thinking of the pink piglet or black and pink piglet as their color would help them stand out more in a photo. Or the ducklings or goslings that are already walking, they are lightweight...what other ideas are there for a figure?

Any Schleich mini, as they are little, small and light in weight...
