I've learnt this on my own skin (and wallet )
I bought a lot of figures from someone in the US - shipping rates were great, so ten days later I ordered a second batch of figures, and guess what, shipping costs had skyrocketed to almost $40!!
I'm not going to buy more figures from the US in the near future.

Just mailed a padded flat mailer containing one concert tee shirt to England - the shipping charge was $14.60. Incredible, and not in a good way... Now I must also mail another padded flat mailer containing two concert tees to Australia for $18.60.
I think the value of Play Vision and other USA-manufactured figurines to Euro-based collectors on Euro eBays just became much greater...
