Spielzeugguenstig is one of my favorite net shops. The prices are good, and they have the four old, major brands.
But recently they changed their shipping policy to a flat rate of 13,50 E to Denmark, no matter how much you buy.
So I was in a terrible dilemma, as I saw how thir stock of the new Safari models on my wishlist, was shrinking rapidly ! Shocked
From Papo there is only the polar bears, and none from Bullyland.
Buying only a couple of models there is simply silly Crying or Very sad

Well. Eventually they will be available again, I thought, and was browsing a bit around.
And the I saw them : *CollectA insects * for 2,50 Euros ! TGF charges 4,00 - 5,70 E !!

And here coms the late night logic of a crazy collector : If I got those, I would have saved the shipping cheers
I compleatly forgot that I had decided they are too expensive, even if I would love to have them geek Laughing

But, hurraaay !!! I got the new deer, dogs and Percheron from Safari, and the polar bears from Papo !
( And a couple more from my wishlist Rolling Eyes Embarassed Wink ) - at a very great price geek

And four CollectA insects cheers
I LOVE them Very Happy

I remember one BBC documentary where sir Attenborough was showing this kind of beatle, he had rhino beatle in his hand and huge white rhino stand just behind him and he was touching his head (of course in the zoo, not wild one), what a lovely scene was that Very Happy sunny

Susanne, I think the decision of collecting CollectA insects is very good. From all insect figures I had the chance of seeing personally, those are the ones that give me more eagerness of collecting them. I think they are enough good as replicas and also very manageable. Very Happy
They are not many, the brand present some diversity and the line is continuing with new releases. All good things when we collect a series. Very Happy
They are large for insects but insects are always large as toys when compared with other figures. I think they have a perfect size for shelves. It would be great to see your collection growing. More, the logic is very good, mainly when they are only 2,50 Euros, less than half the price here. Very Happy

Very cheap and very nice big bugs! (You also have some good shipping costs, they charge almost double your price to my country)

Yes, you're right. But the brand calls Insects Collection to that series and you can find a spider, a scorpion and surprisingly a frog! Very Happy

I love reading your posts Susanne! :) I was wondering, why are CollectA models so expensive in other countries. I think they are the only brand that is sold with a price scaled to match the economy of Romania. They are amusingly cheap here. I saw some Collectas on ebay for 10-15$ while they are only 2-5$ here[the small ones].
Schleich on the other hand has raised their prices and lost an incredible amount of clients :-P
