Jeol figures on E-Bay: one year statistic

As probably most of You know, I like Jeol figures. I was really happy when Sue and Lesley published photos of the complete Jeol African fauna set because there is no Jeol catalog. Starting my mission on Feb 2012, I checked very carefully E-Bay and another Internet sources to get these figures. Now, on Feb 2013, the main part of the mission is over

And here is my statistic of Jeol figures on E-Bay (Feb 2012 - Feb 2013):
Hyena 10x
Leopard 9x
Waterbuck 9x
Impala male 7x
Zebra mare 7x
Warthog 7x
Lioness 6x
Bushpig 5x
Zebra stallion 5x
Lion cub 4x
Impala female (grazing) 4x
Lion male 3x
Elephant cow 3x
Elephant calf 3x
Elephant bull 2x (both without tusks)
Giraffe 1x

The condition of the figures is ignored in the statistic because most of them I never saw in real. Some figures were sold separately, some in groups (mostly with Britains).

BTW: Some figures were really cheap unlike the others...

I am also very happy as Sue and Lesley posted this set. I knew it never before. But the bushpig and the waterbucks was absolutly must haves for my zoo.

I also loved when Sue and Lesley posted them. I find the statistics very interesting but my personal statistics is the same as Christophe!

Wow, those elephants were pricey!

jarda, I was watching the elephant auctions but the prices seemed a bit unreasonable for me to bid on them unfortunately.
You mentioned you've seen other Jeol elephats sold, do you recall if they reached such high prices as well?

If I remember last auctions well, the Jeol elephant cow (good condition) + calf (one tusk missing) GBP 51.00 (October 2012) and the Jeol elephant calf (both tusk missing) USD 68.99 (December 2012). The prices are not inadequate for such figures, some comparable (sculpt quality, scale, age) Britains elephant figures in mint condition are offered on E-Bay for high prices too. But please remember, these Britains figures were produced in much larger quantity than Jeols.

Thanks jarda that is useful information. You do make up a good point about less of the Jeol models being produced compared to other companies, adding to their value.

These statistics are from one year period (Feb 2012 - Feb 2013) intensive E-Bay monitoring - so there were e.g. 10 Jeol hyenas (or one Jeol giraffe) during the year... Susanne, your leopard is counted as well
