Please tell me, - what is a conga line ? A Conga line is when you have the Same Mold but in Many different Colours. The Touch of Class has 9 Models Painted by breyer but there could be many more Custom painted/Etched.. so i could add lots of the same model to this line :) |

| As far as I know the term 'conga' is short for 'conga-line' what actually is a sort of dance, where people form a long line and everybody puts his hands on the shoulders of the person in front of him. Europeans probably know it better als 'Polonnaise'. And the Breyer horse conga ist supposed to form a similar long line. Here are some quick shelf-photos of some of my conga-lines [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]8 stretched Morgans [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]11 Foundation stallions [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]5 Andalusians |

| *drools uncontrollably* All my favorites! The Mustangs, the MOW, the Marwari, and various models that don't start with the letter M... My only conga is the PS chip Andalusian, and while packing I noticed several had gotten scuffed and rubbed over the years. Maybe I'll redo or update the lot at some point. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]These were all painted sometime around -06/-07, if memory serves. No group pics, sorry. _________________ Stuff you should be reading: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Awww.. Thanks Susanne! Just some of those conga lines are so long and gorgeous!! Perhaps in time they will get longer. Sumo, are your horses customs? They are wonderful. And with the background some of them look like professional paintings! (like the old school ones that used to get painted of thoroughbreds and what not.) |

| Now, I have several congas but they're not all one brand of horses. My biggest conga consists of Hagen Renaker Swaps copies. I have both the large and mini HR Swaps plus both of the Breyer versions plus 9 misc copies, most of which are plastic toys. I've not taken a picture of them as my photo tent isn't large enough and my alternate photo locale is not available at this time of the year.
Other congas: One is based on the HR mini Morgan stallion; there's 5 in this one One is based on the HR Man O' War; only 4 so far but one of the copies was carved from coal
And I have congas of Stuart Toys horses - all 3 molds in every color I've been able to find. Still lacking the extremely rare red running horse though I do have a copy made of dental paste.
I'm sure I have congas of other toy horses and probably some Breyer SMs. |
