I remove all my Schleich tags because I heard if you leave them on, over time it discolors the figure. And it leaves residue. And the main reason - who has ever seen animals walking around with tags on their legs and/or hanging around their neck?  In my opinion, if you want to keep the tags, just store them in a box and free the figure.  

(And if you ever plan on selling them, they usually don't sell for much more with the tag than without.)

In general I agree about removing the stickers. The one argument I know for keeping them is that it makes it easier to tell them apart when you get 8 or 9 different lions on your shelf for instance.

The Safari tags are nice, you clip them off, and they are easy to keep in a zipper-plastic bag, because there are names on them

It's very cute, even if we don't know exactly what it is.

The head looks a bit bear-cub-like to me, but the body is dog-like. Not sure either.

Thanks to Sue (castlerigg), finally I have the old Schleich fox!   I was waiting to put my hands over it!  
It's quite soft, it's like it's made in rubber, not the recent hard plastic.

The written is "M.(ade) In Portugal". Are there many countries that make or made Schleich animals? Have you got this fox from somewhere else?

I have also the made in Portugal version and it is also rubbery although yours is better painted than mine.
Schleich animal figures areusually made in China, Germany, Portugal and Tunisia,. there were or are other countries where Schleich figures were or are made but I think not animals.

It is great to follow your foxes collection. I also have that ELC version but not yet the other variant. I am still missing that AAA fox too!
