, so I know from most of your figurines where they come from
K&M figurines: Your ostrich, gazelle and lion come from the 53135 Serengeti Bulk. Your ring-tailed lemur comes from the 53133 Endangered Animals Bulk (but could be from the Primates Tube as well). Your cougar, bighorn and elk come from the 53129 North American Bulk. Your California sea lion and sea otter are from the 53108 Pacific Ocean Bulk. Your red panda and water monitor are from the 53076 Asian Animals Bulk. I think your day gecko is from the 53035 Endangered Reptiles Bulk.
The wolf is, as you already noted, Play Visions, not K&M.
I don't know about the red fox and the harbor seal. I would love to know what the red fox is, for I own it as well, but I have no clue where it comes from Phrog has not visited the forum for almost one year, though, this information is always useful once there is always someone interested in finding information about these figures. Also, we never know if Phrog keeps visiting as a ghest or will ever be back here. You don't need to thank anything to Roger, the research you're doing in a very competent way, is a huge contribution to STS, TAI and collectors in general. I am sure we'll find some old K&M figures that nobody heard before about them. |

I hope phrog will read this one day, but I'm sure it might be helpful to others as well There's still so much to be discovered I really hope we'll find something about the big solid figurines, such as my red wolf. For now, it will stay a big mistery |

For now, it will stay a big mistery I remember the red wolf, although I never had it. I want to say that it came out in about 1998, maybe 1999, the same year that they made a Naked Mole Rat (!) that I also never got That was back in the true K&M International days, when they made their own models (instead of the current trend of re-using Nayab and FUL figures (basically, dollar-store level figures) and repackaging them with their labels. They also made better tubes. Like the original endangered animals tube that also included a couple of red wolves as well: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I don't even know for sure that I still have these... They were...less polished back then. But there was a lot more innovation. |

I'm a lucky owner of the adult red wolf (which you can find [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]). There's no year on it, unfortunately. I do remember reading a story on a blog about this naked mole rat. I'd love to have it, or even see some good pictures of it, but there isn't much information about it. |

I think this is the one (not my picture): With the next information: - Quote :
- I talked to Wendy at K&M Toys, and she told me they do indeed make rubber naked mole rats! Sadly, she could not sell them to individuals, and she could not tell me which specific stores have ordered them.
But this was written in a blog for over 10 years ago, so I don't think they're still in production - such as the other large solid animals by K&M. - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] wrote:

Great, Andreas Could your ocelot cub be one as well or is it a soft toy? |

but the molerat has made it on my wishlist at once! I only saw it in catalogs. I am disappointed that I didn't place an order for it--I don't remember ever seeing it for sale online or in any stores. K&M was always funny that way. |

| About the large solide figures those I could find information are listed (url=http://toyanimal.info//index.php?title=Wild_Republic_Large_Animal_Figures]here![/url] We have pictures of some of them on forum but we need pictures to put on Toy Animal Wiki. I am really excited about the fennec fox, I have red about it but picture was not visible. I believe that this is a collection with much more figures than we think. By the way Beatrice, it could be nice if you provided some pictures to the Wiki. Almost nobody has these figures and these pages will keep empty for a long time. I also want to ask you if the penguin that you have is marked with scientific name and if it is a humboldt penguin or one of its "brothers"? I think also that we have to split first the large K&M/Wild Republic figures in 4 groups. The solide heavy ones, the rubber ones like the current octopus, the hollow ones that we see in polybags and the articulated from sets. I know that it is even more complex but we have to start it in a simple way. |

| No, I don't have the catalogs--I used to go through them at some local stores back in the late 90s. The main K&M store where I would order things closed in 1999. My other main toys tore from back in the day purged all of his catalogs years ago. |

Such a pity, I would love to see some of the older K&M catalogues; I'm sure there are lots of interesting things to find in them! But thanks anyway |
