Papo Giant Anteater 2013!

YES! My first contribution to the board!  
The Papo anteater is 12cm long from nose to tail and 5cm high and the paintwork is top notch.
Unfortunately I don't have any other anteaters from other brands so I can't make a reference picture.
I did however include a group picture with other animals for size reference.

Together with Papo grizzly, Schleich shepherd and cat, CollectA bull terrier peeking over his shoulder and Schleich vulture.
The little mouse is from Bullyland mikrotier.

Wonderful figurine and photos. Like very much the crowd chosen for comparison Anteaters are very special and cute, and I could use one in my garden by now, since there are so many ants at this time of year

I go to Amsterdam for 3 days and I know that there are a lot of different shops and beautiful monument to visit. I buy mainly on MPV online ( mainly COLLECTA)

I confess that the dark coloring looks quite normal to me, googling a little we find a lot of dark colored anteaters.
Although I think the figure is very nice and that I will buy it, I feel that the Safari version continues being the best. Thanks!

Yes, Spielzeug-guenstig had the anteater, but I hesitated ( because of the shipping costs), and when I looked an hour later, they were all sold

Thank you, Simone, for presenting this beautiful figurine. I like the fact that is a bit darker, than the official photos. I saw even darker real life giant anteaters at the ZOO in Wien. Maybe because it's Papo I expected it to be a bit taller (maybe 1cm)!

I've got it a few days ago-one of the best animal figure Papo ever made-it Looks awesome and very realistic-in compare to it, Schleichs anteater Looks like a Comic animal...

So my Hope is, Papo will continue this phantastic Quality, so I can collect the wildlife series of three brands-Collecta,Mojo and Papo as a perfect alternate to Schleich-by the way-I made now my finally decision to stop collecting Schleich, starting this year, so I will not buy the horses, the new marine animas, the kittens, rabbits and the disgusting, ugly black Leopard. So I will buy only really good Schleich models in the future, but only if they are done in their old style, but I don't belive Schleich won't do that-they will follow their new style in the future, so I can save my Money of the three other brands.

All companies seem to have taken a step forward in making their models more accurate and with nice paintjobs.
But Schleich seems to have taken a step back IMO.

What a shame really....

Schleich hasn't made not only one step backwards..At the beginning, when Schleich started his new Poorish style, I was extremly dissapointet after I had collect Schleich for so many years, but know, my decesion not to follow the brands no way and stop colelct them,was really easy to me-it saves Money, and Collecta, Mojo and Ppao are doing a great Job now-Papos Anteater is a goodd example for it-I hope, they will make alos their hoffstock in this excellent Quality. So, whoe really Needs Schleich ? I do-if I like comic-style,ugly and terrible horses !
