CollectA 2014: FARMLIFE - Ankole-Watusi Family (88648 + 88649 + 88650)

Dear all

I am extremely proud to present the photo for this stunning breed of cattle -  to me it is a primitive looking bovine which can stand proudly alongside the handsome Aurochs and existing Wild buffaloes in terms of their impressive horn shapes.  I have long requested this breed to be added.

The Ankole-Watusi, also known as the Ankole Longhorn, is a breed of cattle with large, distinctive horns, originally native to Africa. Ankoles are able to utilize poor quality forage and limited quantities of food and water. These survival abilities have allowed them as a breed to not only survive the centuries in Africa but to become established in Europe, South America, Australia, and North America.

Again this is an image of the prototype in its early stage and is subject to some changes and refinement.  Enjoy!

Ya hoooo!!! An African Cattle breed--I love them. Now I do not have to use my customized Safari LTD longhorn bulls!! they are great looking. Thanks Numaan for the preview.

I agree with Robert, it is very nice that CollectA choices go towards collectors taste, I am sure this kind of cattle will be very successful and impress whoever visits shops with CollectA shelves!

2013 was a great year for collectors in general, a time when our wallets have been jeopardy due to some great models. But I have a feeling that 2014 might be an even better year! Thank you CollectA and I cannot wait to add these wonderful-splendid-fantastic- stupendous models to my shelves some day. 

I am glad you like this family. We will hold back on some wildlife models until later in the year but busily working on a number of species. Many of which will be on people's wish list. I cannot divulge but many of you will be surprised!

A few days ago I wrote that COLLECTA is now the hoofed animals n°1 company. I didn't knew then I would see this new magnificent proof  

I would love to find a shop in France with a real CollectA display, it would be a very nice vision.  

What else ? 2013 is already a fantastic CollectA year, now we can dream of a marvelous 2014.
