| This week a large parcel came from Holland, - no less than 12 prehistoric mammals from Martien Some are marked "Made in China", some are marked "CHINA", and some aren`t marked at all. Only four have the species written on the belly, So if somebody can enlighten me, I would be grateful..about the brand, too, of course [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Paraceratherium : [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Coelodont [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]machrauchenia [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]titamis [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Perhaps the one I like best, - the head reminds me of a weasel, - I would very much like to know what species he is [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Congratulations for these creatures, Susanne! Macrauchenias should be for sure very cute and funny animals in real! They result always very nice in toy shape! Is not easy to identify these species, there are many similar and interpreted in different ways. Maybe Starlux can help you here? |

Martien I saw them in Skandinavisk dyrepark last week, but they were unpainted, and the price was about 25 Euros |

and yes we are all fine,,but very very bussy,, when the time is there,,i'll post on the forum, and yes i look at last every day for news hahahaha The top picture IS NAYAB because I happen to own them in a smaller version.Geoworld distributes them with 2 larger animals and a play mat and a ice berg.Antharcotherium is the hippo looking thing, while the rest of the set is a Eurasian Cheetah,Cealodonta,Cave Lion,Mammoth, and Saber Toothed Cat.The Geoworld even provided their names on little ID cards and on the box.I even saw the set of ice age life in their catalog. |

| The one set--with the Paraceratherium, Titanis, Macrauchenia, the goofiest Smilodon of all time, the mammoth and the woolly rhino, were a bagged set from Excite.
The other set, I have 5 of (no mammoth), but had to try and work out the brand from the tags. I was able to make out Cornelissen from the markings and the packaging, but it could just as easily have been several different companies with their own tags. There is nothing on them indicating that they were made by Nayab (mine came with tags).
The species are indeed identified by the small set from GeoWorld, but they were not made by GeoWorld--they were repackaged. The small 'travel' kit contained the 6 small species (cave lion, anthracothere, mammoth, Acinonyncx pardinensis, smilodon, rhino) in a plastic 'iceberg--I sold them in my store! The bigger play set came with the large mammoth and smilodon. Geoworld doesn't carry them anymore though.
And none of them are the same as the Wild Republic mammals...or the Chick Yuet set. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection!
