| I'm building a zoo in scale 1/32. I'm building the enclosures all seperately, later making a diorama of them. Here the first i build: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I personally like this one: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And these i allready showed here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]More will follow in time. |

| Thanks for all the nice comments! Indeed: i try to build an old-style, nostalgic Zoo. @ Goatherder: no, these are all the enclosures i have build up untill now. At this moment i'm working on a enclosure for a Crane: i have a beautifull Crane (Elastolin) which really needs an enclosure badly. When i have finished it, i will post photo's. But: the building takes time, i'm not very fast at it... |

| Thanks everyone!! @ Goatherder: the base is made of white platematerial which is used for insulating buildings (i'm sorry my English is bad, so some names i dont know in English): this is perfect for carving the pond. Then i have painted the pond with special paint (latexpaint): if you use other paint, the artificial water (which drys in 48 hours!) will leak through the base!!
The trees are made of parts of rel plants which i let dry completely. After that, i spray them with spray-glue. When taht is dry, i spray the trees witch green paint. The plants which are standing in the water are made of rope, which i also painted. The house of the Crane is also made of rope (a kind of rope which is used of farms for haying!): it is supposed to resembel a buidling made of read/thatch (shese 2 words are suggested by Google Translation).
The house of the Capibara is supposed to resembel 1 made of metal: it is paper, which i painted green. The roof is miniature crimp (??), which is sold here in Holland for miniature-buidlings. The gate of the enclosures is supposed to be a tipical gate made of chestnut: this is often used in Holland in gardens as a gate. The straw inside of the building of the Capibara is made of the same rope i used for the walls of the Cranehouse.
Next project is a tropical greenhouse, i bought 2 Britains Greenhouses (Floral Garden) to make 1 bigger greenhouse out of it. I intend to fill it with a pond for Crocodiles and tropical plants (planning on making a bananatree among other plants): all in 1:32 off course. BUT: i wont be able to work on it for the next month, because next Friday i will be leaving for Brasil, to visit my girlfriend who lives there (in the city Curitiba). |

| the little trees and bushes are actual parts of plants which i dried, then sprayed with spray-glue and after drying painted green (with spray-paint). The trees for example are the dried flowers of a plant: Astilbe. After flowering i let them dry on the plant, then cut them, and first let them dry inside the house for 2 weeks (to prevent moulding). |

| I finished an other enclosure (not the greenhouse, i am still working on that): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The black animal is supposed to be a Binturong, made it myself, based on a fox from VEB-Plaho. I like Binturongs very much and they seem not to exist in 1/32. The porcupines and scunk are Schleich Mini's, which i painted. On the pic the avary doesn;t seem to be standing upright, but this is because i held the camare wrong |
