Harriet made Albina !!!!

About 22 years ago, I bought a funny looking 6 month old Icelandic filly with blue eyes !
Even if her mom had been judged both in Iceland, Germany and Denmark, and called "Chestnut", she WAS Palomino.
The ultimate proof was when she gave birth to Albina, after a palomino stallion.
Albina`s colour is called Cremello, and is the result of double Cream-gene.

At first I was crazy about Albina because of her colour, but it turned out she was an unusually pleasant riding horse, and full of fun, too.
So for 22 years she has been an ever good friend.
We have spent thousands of hours exploring the landscape, and she has also given birth to 5 foals.

But at her age, every must be considered a gift, and last winter I decided to ask Harriet to make me a model, where my dear friend could live on, even if the worst happened.

An, WOW! Did Harriet succeed !
She made my dear, old Icey, just as she is !

Ohh, how wonderful is this sculpture of your beloved Albina
We always see that works of Harriet are very beautiful, realistic and perfect, this one is not exception. However it is special, it represents the horse of Susanne I LOVE it
Looking in her eyes it's hard to resist asking "what is she thinking about"?

Those are the homemade creatures I like best! :cheers:This is not just a replica of horse, but of a real and identified personality that you love so much. Also Albina, is like a member friend of this forum.
No need to say how perfect is Harriet's work and how much I like the idea. :DI hope mini Albina has a good life with Jeremias, two friends of two distant friends!

There are so many models of young, glossy, prancing horses, but here is my old girl

Roger, yes ! Jeremias, Albina and Jack have been very kind to Albina.
I usually do not dare to take any of them outdoors, but I just HAD to show you how fantastic they are together

Wow!! Albina is just lovely, Susanne. You are so fortunate to own such a beautiful horse (both of them) and we are all so fortunate to have a talent like Harriet's among us. It is wonderful. As usual, her work is just astounding. Congratulations!

Thanks, Kudu, but she is not a pony. She is an Icelandic HORSE !
I admit that the old type Iceys like Albina do look very pony`ish in winter.
Harriet and I agreed to make her in her winter wollies, - this past winter was extremely cold, and she had a coat, where the long, shaggy "over-coat" was almost 15 cm long in exposed places  

But no matter the size, the Iceys ( Like Arabians and other original breeds) are small horses and not ponies
