CollectA 2014: WILDLIFE - Wild Water Buffalo (88657) UPDATED

This is must-have for me, along with Ankole Watusi!!!

I like the horn shape. It seems that all of the buffalo have the short, curly horns like a sheep.

Holy moly. I'm in heaven. This is, by far, already my most anticipated figure for 2014. CollectA rocks.

If the preview pics are like 2013 previous pics, then the model will be even more awesome !

I think the angle is giving the impression that horns are not wide enough or are not in a correct angle but maybe it is only a little and wrong suspection. I am almost sure it will look fantastic in real! :D:D

I love your guesses so continue guessing, it is great because I think you are quite good at getting things right so it is always nice to read your messages  

You are right, the photo does not do justice to the horns, I will see if I can post another picture.

The horns vary so much between wild and domestic buffalo's. In fact, through research it is the domestic variants that tend to have the longer, larger horns, I dont know why.  The Wild counterparts tend to have smaller horns but this is not always the case.  I think in this case the horns should not be too over enlarged and too big otherwise it just goes from far from reality and so this was modeled on a realistic set of  horns.  Will see what I can find and post for you :-)

Thanks for extra picture, the figure is more than good for me.
As you said, it is not always easy what is a domestic and a wild Asian buffalo and we find some differences in horn shape. we find often the lower half of the horns more horizontal with the body and then curving upwards but also like these.
The picture is quite close but the face look short or wide, maybe cheeck area and top of the snout closer to the eyes needed to be narrowed? Hard to see in a dark figure and we don't want it taking too long to arrive our collections!

thanks for your suggestions. However the buffalo varies in size, shape and horns in so many pictures that it is hard to find the one true definitive picture of the buffalo. Some are round, some are square shaped, some have shorter faces, others have long faces.

Just like us I mean faces, of course. Nobody is alike. Everyone is loving the figure, me too... and it is a very antecipated one! It is great as it is!
