And so it means Papo also copied Franz Xavier Bergman models.

I can't wait to see a Gaur by Franz Xavier Bergman, Maybe Anna copied it  Laughing

The cheetah is magnificent. Papo and Schleich at least exhibited excellent taste in copying Bergman. As they say, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery..."  Laughing

I'm not an expert, even not an aficionados of this kind of stuff but I use to have a look on Vienna Bronze animals for years now. I never saw these models before and I have a big doubt they are really old Vienna Bronze  confused

Also all these animals are on the English market, I can't find any of them in Germany or austria  confused

Nevertheless, look at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]  Laughing

dear Bonobo, did you spend enough time reading this topic ? The funny thing is someone is making Schleich copies and try to sell them as antiquities. There is nothing against Schleich here... Only against people who are doing these kind of things  Wink

Again, I'm not a specialist but I spent time in the past on Vienna cold painted bronze animals. Never saw these one until now and the style is different from the models I already knew  scratch

Also, every sellers is telling us that they are very rare models... And they are everywhere now  What a Face

Everywhere ? Really ? I can't find any of them on Austria website or even French website...

That is quite disturbing! Shocked I also don't know why I haven't seen it before! Sleep
I always think that people sees copies everywhere but no doubts these bronze figures are made from known pvc figures and making some people a little richer. affraid
The most confuse thing for me is that they are selling for high prices. It is hard to believe they are originals that modern brand copied before, why do bronze figures needed to have thick legs and be chubby... vintage safety? geek

I looked at Numaan's links, weird. The different tiger looks nothing like Schleich! And the elephant. Something fishy is going on around there...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
this one looks like the English Bulldog from Bully
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
And they are not only copying Schleich - here's a Breyer-Bronze supposed to be from 1900-1930. That's funny because the Breyer model they obviously used was released in 1973 Very Happy

Gaur is not CollectA  Wink
Anyway I would feel a bit disturbed if they copied Mojo figures this way. Copying Schleich, Bully or any other toy company and sell as antiques is all the same - cheating: both companies and customers.
Someone wants to make money cheating other people - I hate this kind of situation Sad
