CollectA 2014: INSECTS & REPTILES - Frill-Necked Lizard (88690)

This is a slightly larger scale models to go along with the previously made bearded dragon model in the insects series produced by CollectA.

I love it! The colors are really nice as well.

Too bad it's another in the "open mouth" pose,....and: why the hell "Insects"?

There is an explanation for the open mouth, - they do that when they raise the "frill" [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Exactly, why is it in that category and that size? That's the reason I didn't get the bearded dragon!

To clear up about Insects. CollectA introduces some reptiles and amphybians to their Insects collection. The name was never adjusted once some of other arthropods are also not insects. CollectA as a competent brand and that is leveling high their scientific interest should change the name or split in two series, one called arthropods collection and other with reptiles and amphybians.
Not the most original of 2014 releases but actually a detailed figure.

What about my language? "denglish",..and some emotional words,...  
frill. i know that, and that's why i'd appreciate to have a model with closed mouth, although most buyers would have difficulties to differ from e.g. some agama species in that case,...

Im not normally big on lizards, but I do like this guy. However, I don't really like bigger scale models so...

I don't collect reptiles. However, I love this figurine, like the leatherback.

It's a great figure to have alongside a green iguana juvenile I have from Safari Ltd. 

I'm happy that CollectA is adding more reptiles to the line but like everyone else I'm not too sure about the size.
