PostSubject: Zoo enclosure from Elastolin Hausser   Zoo enclosure from Elastolin Hausser EmptyTue Mar 18, 2014 3:54 pm

Here you can see the zoo enclosure made by Elastolin Hausser. In the catalog it´s the number 6560 and it´s made of plastic.
Now, I want to know, when the zoo was made and in which year the enclosure was offered in the catalogs for the first time?
I had a look in the catalogs at STS from Willy. The enclosure isn´t in the catalog of 1961.
I think, he was sold around 1965 for the first time. Is that right?  scratch

Please, perhaps some STS members nows more and can help me.  study  I love you

I know Lineol or Elastolin produced a copy of the entry of the Hagenbeck zoo in Hamburg. It is possible that also this is a copy from this zoo? But a wonderful catch!!

Hi Yvette.
The correct number in the 1972 catalogue is 6562 by the way.
I really don't know for sure in which year it was produced for the first time, but i guess in the early 70's, but maybe you are right, i have to look into that too.
Nice that you found this one by the way, sad that is has some damage.
there are more to be found on Figurenjournal.de.
Greetz, Willy.

Hi Willy, many thanks for the information. This is very interesting.  I have the number 6560  from a brochure made by Elastolin Hausser.
In this one, the enclosure has the number 6560. The prospectus is unfortunately without date. Maybe the number has changed by time?
Or is it a misprint in the brochure?

Andreas you are right with entry of Hagenbeck, but I havn´t found since now a picture from these enclosure by Hagenbeck. Only some pictures of Hagenbeck-postcards with enclosures, but they aren´t the same.

That is correct Yvette, those numers do change sometimes, specially in the Hausser and Lineol catalogues, very annoying sometimes.
I know that brochure, it was my first one in the 1970's, but it got lost in time.
I think it is from the mid-seventies.
Do you like the Hausser animals Jonas?
See into my collections on collectors quest, they are to be found in the different categories...
