| edit: oops move this to discussion if you can xD After noticing that the full catalogs of some brands weren't officially confirmed, or that some brands hadn't even released much if any info at all on upcoming figures, it got me skeptically thinking... What if, the major brands put off release the next year's catalog not because of just 'cuz they think it's a better time or that they aren't finished with the catalog, pictures, or figures, but what if, it's because they don't want a competitor to trump one of their figures. For example, let's say Company A has a lame lion and Company B has a good lion. Meanwhile, Company A has a EDIT: (switch bad and good around) bad goat and Company B has a good goat. Company A plans to make a lion that trumps Company B's, but Company B has a goat that'll trump Company A's. If they released now before everyone had done their holiday shopping, that's lost revenue from previous figures of theirs that might be worse than the other company's new 2015 figure. Also, what if the companies want to get rid of past models or retired models during the holidays before they announce the new catalogs so that they free up their stock and make a profit; I mean, the items may release during different times of the year, but would a person rather buy a so-so wolf figure for Christmas or soon after with Christmas money if they knew that so-and-so company had announced a good figure for next year, whether it was in the first semester of the new year or the second. I dunno what you think?

| A warm welcome here Honestly, I don't think it makes a difference. The majority of the market is parents/kids, not collectors, so most of the market won't even know of another company's figure existing. Plus, most kids want that animal now, they don't want to wait until the next year! In addition, using Schleich's cute animals for example, collectors would probably end up buying a different brand than the children if the children had all of the different brand figures out at once anyway. Give a kid a Schleich lion next to a Papo lion. Give any collector the same. 9 times our of 10 the kid will pick the Schleich and the collector a Papo. And the kid obviously isn't aware of the brand. I've moved your topic for you as well. |

| Hmmm forgot about the kid factor I just want to decide on figures nooow (who's the kid now lol) rather than just ask money for Christmas and bday (Dec 18) and wait till end of Dec or early Jan Those kids may want the figures now, but I want to decide now lol |

| Well I see it as a 'get done' thing. I usually wait till movies are on DVD or a week after a TV show episode comes out to watch it lol. But with those 2015 figures I just need to know now, not need to have now xD. is that too much to ask? Er, by the way, which catalogues Are completed ? I mean best I can tell Safari and Schleich seem completed, Bullyland possibly, Collecta has so many topics it's hard to tell xD, Mojo hasn't released much, and Papo has released practically nothing? |

Me neither.... I think so Ludi. Papo revealed two fantasy creatures, nothing much. Schleich is done, I think. CollectA and Mojo have more to show. And Sarfari LTD is complete. I think... _________________ ~Karin~
