Show us Yours: Flightless Birds

The word flightless and birds seem contradictory, but there are those birds, even with feathers, that cannot fly. These species rely on running and/or swimming instead of flying. There are about 40 species in existence today, the best known being the ostrich, emu, cassowary, rhea and kiwi and the penguins. (Wikipedia)
Though, as there is already a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], this will be dedicated to the remaining flightless birds.
I am happy to begin the topic of Flightless Birds for the October 2013 SUY category. I will have photos posted soon but in the meantime let's see STS members' replicas of Flightless Birds!

But please dont forget, we have a SUY penguins

From left, SSS kiwi, Safari dodo, CollectA ostrich, Schleich chicken ostrich, S&N kiwi, S&N emu and Schleich eaglets on nest, they're still flightless!

Roger, I think you have them all that I mention above!!  

So we are NOT doing penguins as part of this? Please advise administrators....thanks!

andreas is right, this topic is dedicated to flightless birds, except penguins  because we already have a topic about them. I edited your original post and I hope it is fine now.
p.s. I may delete some discussion posts later once they make no sense now.

Roger, your SSS pukeko is masked as kiwi, right?!   

I was searching the pukeko for such a long time that I call pukeko to everything with 3 S. Of course it is masked like a kiwi. I'll edit my post without masking my lapse.

Roger I see pukekos are masters of hiding nowadays!

Here are my Flightless Birds--of course African species only. I did have to research if the roadrunner, Secretary Bird, Rooster, and a few more could fly. They can but do not do it often nor far or high.

Eh Andreas, besides the unusual species that common mortals like me can find, you also have a takahe and a nandu! I said nandu... not NandO!
Here my fault, by mistake he called pukeko to my SSS kiwi and probably gave the wrong idea that pukekos are flightless birds... they're not but it goes perfectly in your pictures. Thanks and congratulations!

Roger, but this was also my fault. Because i was wondered that a pukeko is a flightless bird and so i search in the internet. I found a german text about this new zealand bird and there was written, most of this island birds are flightless and this bird walk overall . And so i thinied that is right.:-)

Yes, I think they can fly, but awkwardly, and usually end up in crash landings. Most walk or run from danger, rather than fly anyway.
