Schleich female cheetah 14746

Another cheetah model that needed some carving (one of the ear was too big and stuck out like a sore thumb.) This will be my last repaint before shooting off on a short 9 days camper-trailer holiday with my husband. After painting this cheetah, my eyeballs need a holiday... I'm seeing spots!

Wow!   Thank you so much everyone! This little cat gave me a bit of grief, too. For some reason, it didn't wanna play "nice" with the paints. The funny thing is, in Australia, the word "cheater" and "cheetah" are pronounced almost the same. Yup! He was a cheata' alright! 

After seeing it outdoors, now I could see more in detail the great work you performed. I like very much the original figure but yours is just really great! Have a nice time without spots.

Poor Kosta made TWO ( well three, there was also a kitten) for me, - he said it would take a ong time before he would make one again

You did a wonderul job on this one, not only because you spent time to make realistic spots and fine colours.indeed the most impressive for me are the eyes, so expressive

OMG! Three in a row? He's braver than I am!

I think I choose eye-killing subjects for repaints... There aren't many wild cats that don't sport spots, stripes or blotches.

Merci beaucoup, Christophe! I do spend a good deal of time working on the eyes. I always save them for last... It's fun to see the figurine come alive once I finally paint them in.

She looks like a wise female, who has had some litters before and s now watching her new cubs from a distance :3

I'm sure it's fun to see it come alive, I'm also sure it is the most risky part of the painting. Eyes painting is for me the most stressful point of the job. You can do everything perfectly, if the eyes are failed, the whole model is failed. Maybe it's only me but that's the way I feel each time I paint a model and that's also what I feel when I watch a model, custom or not.

I really like , that you use ``rich``, different colors to make the Fur color , more colorful. We can see that very clear on the photo with the face for example :)
I really like this model too, so I bought two of it ...and one day I will also make a repaint :)

My BIGGEST Cheetah - challenge, was the Safari Wonders Cheetah ( a beautiful model..maybe the best one) ...bigger model - more spots

Totalement d'accord avec toi. Moi aussi je suis super nerveuse lorsque je peinds les yeux. Après tout, les yeux sont les fenêtres de l'âme. Eyes make or break a figurine.

OMG!    I had no idea Safari had a large cheetah model. *GASP*   That would be a heck of a challenge for eyeballs. More spots for sure, but don't be fooled... Bigger models means bigger (easier) spots to paint and see... Smaller is a NIGHTMARE!

Holy Moses!   I just saw your big Safari cheetah and the two little ones you did for Suzanne!!! Mate... You're unreal! You're artwork is out of this world. To turn a piece of plastic resin into something that looks so alive is just pure magic.

And you will see, after while , you will find also other ways ( techniques) with repainting, improving your style ...playing more with the texture of the models...making the models even more realistic :)
