Bewildered by Orca 88043 (Does anyone have one??)

Ok so directly from CollectA's page for the 88043 Orca is this

From Amazon is this... thing...

And from a South Korean eBay listing are these

What am I actually buying?? Does anyone with this model know what it actually looks like?? CUz i'd hate to get that second one

I do not have CollectA's orcas, but I am confused also.

Googling "CollectA orca", i found a No2 here also [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , and that was just a quick search

The 3rd one looks more like the CollectA one, and clearly has the CollectA logo, so perhaps it is the right one

I hope somebody who owns one bought from a reliable source, so we can solve this interesting riddle  

Of course it is possible to ask CollectA directly. If you do, I would love to hear what they ansver

Yea but what's weird is that this is also a pic from that same SK listing except he definitely took this one

and it doesn't look like any of them (well, most like the SK I guess).

Heck, I never bought this back a long time ago when searching for CollectAs cuz I kept finding that weird second picture with the poor paint job.

It makes me think there's two versions: a foreign listing that looks like the CollectA or SK listing, and the second weird one that is a cheap way of continuing the line after all these years (cuz apparently it's still in production I think)

Also, I didn't find this model on the Toy Animal wiki or in walkarounds. it's like a 2006 relic of the past or something

But in Spielzeug-guenstig the other major, German toy-E-shop,it is the poor one [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

At this point the more people who can post a picture of their own the better cuz there might be two versions or something

It would be great to get pictures of both for TAI , if this is the case !

Should we/you/I start a topic asking people for pictures of their Collecta Orca, - or better perhaps if you add something to the heading of this topic ? Something like : "...do you have one ? " ....

I have it among others. Can't have enough orcas!

On a side note, I actually ordered the CollectA orca last night from Amazon. Let's see what I get

The second picture is the old version. In 2012, CollectA upgraded their orca. They improved the painting and the fin. The first and third pics are the new version.

I have now checked the catalogues. It seeme that this - nicer- paintwork was introduced in 2016
