Schleich 2018

Dear Gwaine,

Here is some info about my collection of figures that you can share with everybody else:

1. my bayala elves and other mythical people live together in a huge wooden dollhouse.

2. for a living, they raise horses (thoroughbreds mostly), unicorns, pegasus, and other mythical creatures.

3. outside of the dollhouse realm is a smaller section called "The Rice Box." This term is used to indicate that the wildlife and other animals that exist in my kingdom are not allowed in the dollhouse. the Rice Box gets its name from the idea of having a dollhouse size sandbox. I was going to use rice instead of sand, but the idea never got finished. In short, the Rice Box has just stayed an idea, but the animals still live there, even if it is inside my head still. Oh yeah, and thank you Schleich! Finally some thoroughbreds! And sea Unicorns too! great! And of course I'm going to have to take a look at the new wildlife, to see if any of it would work in my kingdom. It is nice, though, that Schleich is making more mermaids. I mean really, those sorts of people are needed in my dollhouse right now. I wonder what their names will be? I have already written down the item numbers of the Schleich 2018 things I want, so that's settled there. Oh yeah, and more rabbits for my rabbit family. Yay! As you can see, I have been an animal collector for many years. Schleich is one of my favorite brands. Of course, there is the fact that to get certain figures, you would have to buy a whole set. Well, my friends, there is a good side and a bad side to that.

The good side is that if you get a set, and there are parts of it that you don't want, you can sell those unwanted parts. Then again, if the set itself is really expensive, well then you've got a problem. Well, so what? The worst that could happen is that you'll have to wait awhile. See? It's not so bad! Well, that's my take on Schleich for 2018.

P.S. Does anybody know (Oh dear, what am I doing?) anything about the second half of the year yet? For Schleich I mean. Well anyway, keep us all posted Gwaine. Thanks for all the news.

We will know it in future.
But, which Special figures will be Schleich do in two Wild Life Calendars? Already in this year it was not so much.

If they plan on two calendars for all theme's, they had best up their game!

Is the Branuiev Cow a European only release? I've only seen it for sale at very prices ($30-$50 USD!) and i'm worried it won't be found in the US.

Some of our stockists here in Australia have the Braunvieh cow in stock so I think it should make it to the US in time :)

So today I saw most of the news in the store ,from the beginning I did not believe that someone wrote that the orc is bad and in fact it is bad ,I do not like this light material from which sea animals are made ,the shark is cool, but I will not buy it, just because it is light;today I bought a koala bear, a polar fox, a hippopotamus and a small zebra for my collection They are very cool

I was also in several stores and the painting of the Orca is still horrible. Even new ones, that were just put out of their bags, looked like they got them from a children's birthday party...

Well, paint and quality is terribly poor and it's a pity, because I really wanted to have this orc

Because it's a very good Resident Orca...

I don't know if it was already told before. There is a special set of "raptors", Recolored ones.
It is called something like 3 raptors hunting and product number is 72128.

Schleich is indeed rising their prices!
I have spoken to one shop owner in person and have been told by Instagram members and by Julie, experiences of rising prices in shops here in the Netherlands.
Quality is going down (sculpt wise) and prices are higher. Not happy how Schleich is working things out.

Hmm, schleich is not very satisfying anymore!

Really, I have bought a few schleich figures in the last years ,because I not see variety,

The paint has decreased in quality, and prices continue to rise.

Yes, also the new Orca is more expensive than the old one. Although, the old one was much more impressive
