The new walrus from Papo 2017

A while ago somebody asked for a walkaround of Papo's new walrus, and a long last : Here it is  

I like this model very much. It is quite realistic, - for instance the tusks are not the same length, and the deatils of the skin is great.
But most of all I love his face !! He has this wonderful "Old man"-look, with stiff whiskers and wrinkeled neck  

He seems to have just been through the mating season.
Male walrusses are enormously fat just before the fights for the ladies begin, and as the mating season lasts up to 4 months, they loose a lot of weight.

Wonderful walrus, he is ready for attack.
But is he really bigger than the sea elephant? The frog is nice. Can be a beelzebufo (big frog from the cretaceous age).

The tusks are really thick! Too thick I think.

He is really nice! You are right, he does have a great face, love his eyes!

Oh yeah! This old man is going in my collection for sure!

Beautieful walrus!

That's a new design with a great level of detail. This is the best I can tell of this figure. I also think tht the massive tusks in a reasonably delicate body, make it look unbalanced. However, it has some motion what is not easy to see in a walrus.
