I have always admired the Eikoh sets and now I can FINALLY get some, with the release of three crustaceans!

The duck is very interesting, i think it is a eastern spot billed duck. Also the crow, i believe a Large-billed crow. The owl could be a Blakiston's fish owl

Andreas, AFAIK you are right with the duck and owl. The crow is simply the crow. I used automatic translations and confirmed by Wikipedia.

I think I'll have to wait until we know what their exact size is. They are all shown as 96 x 60 x 16 mm, but that can't be right.

These figures are all roughly the size of 2x2 Lego brick.

But the crow is very clearly a large-billed crow (Corvus macrorhynchos). May be not sold under that name but the sculpt is as obvious to species level as is the Blakiston's fish owl (Ketupa blakistoni) and the spot-billed duck (Anas poecilorhyncha). It's as if you have a big cat with unpatterned fur, a big mane and a tuft in the tail, then it's a lion even if it's sold only as a feline

Very useful, thanks! Judging by that, maybe the ptarmigan, octopus and turtle are the ones adequate for my scale tastes :)

However, many new species for my collection. Could anyone translate them?

Do you mean 15.8 x 15.8 mm? No, they are small, but not that small. The previous Eikoh figures were more like 35 x 50 mm, depending on the particular animal of course.

the sizes are mentioned if you click on a link for a given figure. I am happy the moray eel is nearly 10 cm! Most are in the 5-6 cm range.

Yes, but all the new ones are given exactly the same size, so I don't believe it.

That is almost all the previous one. And as you can see compared to the lego block, they are fairly the same size

Your TAW photos with lego block have been very useful for me, Susanne. I have bought several Eikohs based on them. But I am peculiar, I need mm accuracy, so for the new ones, I'll have to wait until they appear with a lego block on TAW
