| While looking for AAA or elc animals on ebay I came across this calf in with a mix of animals, I'd been wanting it for ages to complete my Angus cattle family. Only one other person bid - I guess because the ebay listing was under "ELC" hardly anyone saw it. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]There was one other animal of interest, a Safari ltd snow leopard, a little mini one (and the AAA penguin which I already had) - the other animals weren't that great, I'm giving them to my nephew. If anyone has any information on what series the little snow leopard is from... | Congratulations Harriet. Don't you love it when nobody bids up an auction you are interested in. Great catch. The calf looks happy to have found its family. |

Thanks Robert, Kristie and Amy! Yes it's fantastic when no one bids it up _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

| He is from the South American classics set. Some of them were sold at the beggining under Safari +Schleich, and later on, their molds were used by Safari in their toobs!Hope this helped.I don't think Torben has this set on his archive (even though he has it for sure in real life). |

| Great additions, Harriet. I love the Angus family portrait... Based on its design style, the Safari, Ltd. snow leopard looks to be from the 1993 series of small (one inch long or so) wild animals of which Schleich licensed some for its "Authentics" sub-line. |

Thanks for the info Phil - so is it quite rare? I was just looking at the little cat again and it actually says "Jaguar" on the bottom. _________________ Harriet My *Collection* My *Handmade Animal Sculpture*

And this is a jaguar, you can see it because of the dark dots in the center of the spots! Leopards don't have it! :) |

Yes, I think Roger is quite correct, as those seem to be approximating jaguar markings. I have no idea if it is quite rare or not, but then I am not a Safari specialist. Either way, he is quite cute! |
