Wild boar and a Bighorn

2 models of Wild boar by different copies-the 1st is by an Italian maker and the 2nd by an American copy.A lovely Bighorn as well.

WOW, That bighorn

First I thoght the boar to the right was the one from Papo, but when I compare, I can see it is not alt all the same

They are all beautiful pieces but I love the pose of the first boar. There are loads of great Italian figures, unfortunately they are often non toy figures. I wished Italy was home of a brand like Schleich or Papo, I think they have market enough to do it and they represent a different school.

I will retrain myself and NOT ask what size is the bighorn.

Some of their old composition- or plaster models are totally charming

All are ceramic.
The Bighorn and the smaller Wild boar just have 1993 on them but I got them in the USA
The larger Wild boar is made by an Italian company called Castagna.
Here is another picture of the Bighorn with a lego brick for comparison-Roger kindly sent it to me as I was probably the only person in the world that did not have Lego!
Also a Texas Longhorn bull made by the same people who did the Bighorn!

They're masterpieces, shame that they're ceramic as they would be pretty fragile!
