| I have done a few customs over the years on my double horses but nothing really special and worth to show (I'll post them here if someone is interested) But today I decided to do something new. I wanted a kelpie (man-eating-shapeshiting-waterhorse not the dog ^^ ) for some years now, hoping for a brand to do one but no chance. I had in my custom bucket this berbere horse from papo [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Who was pretty damage (deep scratches, twisted leg...) but it's such a pretty mold to not try something with it The mane was perfect for the idea of being dripping wet and wild. For the moment I just carved a big predatory mouth (I don't have the right tool to carve deeper) and paint the base of a grey coat [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Tomorrow I will try to do some teeth (with hope to not screw it ), add shades of greys, blues and greens, probably some dapples, and do details for the head and hooves.

| Which brand do you think could likely release a kelpie? Safari Ltd? That's an interesting project and we are surely interested in seeing your customs. Perfect choice, saving this poor wonderful Berber horse. I have one, by the way, I love it! All these hairy elements falling to the left side of the animal surely will help a lot to make it look like a Kelpie. Looking forward to see how do you go as a dentist. |

| Yes, I think Safari is the most likely but I doubt they'll do one. So, I did the eyes and try to add some teeth. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]They are really flat since it's just paint and not sculpting. I wonder if I can use some sort of 3D paint to add texture to it

| That's interesting!
What about puff fabric paint for the teeth? If it works, maybe you could use the same type of paint to make the weeds caught in the hair. |
