| I have found this snake on Amazon. I don't have any python in my collection. What do you think of this one? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It's marked as "Tomaibaby" or STOBOK. I found a video review on Youtube here |

| looks like a knock-off, or at least heavily influenced by, the Safari Ltd. Incredible Creatures Boa constrictor (the pose doesn't look 100% identical). |

| Ahh I'm not a snake expert. Is it oversized for average figures? |

| That looks like a bootleg of the Safari IC boa constrictor to me (though hard to say for certain since I don't own that model, only the albino burmese python). The model taking up your whole hand as my albino python does, its considerably larger than the Schleich models you mentioned. If you are worried about scale, it might just be a really big snake (they found a 16 footer in Florida recently)... _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. this python is big, bigger than the Colorata one. The colorata is 1/12 and fits with CollectA shiru, Papo tigress with cub in mouth and Mojo Komodo dragon by example. The Schleich rattlesnake is around 1/7 so maybe it could work with it. |

| Yes, for a bootleg its painted quite nicely! Usually copies are inferior to the original. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I think promoting knock-offs is really detrimental for our hobby as a whole. Why not buy the original? _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| My few snakes are very different in scale, sadly... I have the Schleich cobra, rattlesnake, smooth green snake, black mamba and the science and nature brown snake... |

| Agreed here too. But sometimes you don't obviously know it is knock-off. I got some nayab birds recently and I am not sure they are authentic... I almost bought a chameleon but decided to wait. Then it occurred to me to check TAW cuz the mould seemed familiar but I couldn't place it. Its the CollectA model someone has copied and painted differently. I'd rather have the CollectA so I dismisses this other figure.
But with that being said, I think the bootlegs are getting more and more sophisticated. Like that chameleon and some sharks I got recently from the Discovery Shark week line they are getting harder and harder to tell unless you really know your models from big brands. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs.
