Hyena and whitetail buck

I've had this Chinamal hyena for awhile; I was pulling out a box and he turned up. He was a thrift store find.

This guy isn't exactly a mystery, he's stamped 'Bakery Crafts Made in China'. Must be a figure made as a cake topper. Seems to have a rather New Ray feel to me.

The hyena was sold with a few African animals in a blister named Nine Product

They are both lovely

For a while I have wondered about these "Cake toppers" . Do people really put toys on top of cakes ?

It can't be a good idea if there are small children present

The deer is another example for all the mysterious figures

It is more cruel, apparently this buck figure is from a series of hunting deer cake toppers. It means that you put the deer together with a hunter with a gun on top of a cake for kids. It is not Kelly's fault of course.
