We don't see often lead figures here so it is fantastic to see all these models you're sharing with us. Britains is a fantastic brand.

Thanks everyone. I have been collecting Britains since I was about 5. The first pieces I remember getting are the Kangaroo with the joey in her pouch and the Clydesdale horse in white.

Great to see these! I think it's the first time I see the young and "old" rhino together; I always wondered how much smaller the young one is. And it is clear why the elephant is also meant to be a young one, because it is also relatively small. Some of the horses and cows have interesting poses that they didn't use in their later plastic range.

As you may know, we are trying to put all animal figures on Toy Animal Wiki, but many Britains lead figures are still missing, see here: Zoo animals and farm animals. It's quite a lot of work, but if you ever feel like helping us with photos of your collection, let us know.

Wonderful collection and great to see the Bushbuck and Warthog,and so many others that never made it to the plastic range.
