13963 Schleich Bichon Frisé

Here comes the cute Bichon Frisé by Schleich. I think a well made dog by Schleich. Too bad they put the Schleich brand on the left side but apparently there was not much space underneath. But see for yourself.

I've always liked cattle and poultry, but I am starting to pick up dogs and cats if it's an interesting breed and done well!

Very cute! Although I guess they didn't have enough room for the print on the belly of the dog? A shame its on the side and flank

I remember, I am just entertained that this little puff ball of a dog is attracting so much fame! Even from the arthropod collectors.

The model is slightly toyish but considering the breed, it seems correct to me. Cute but not clown so I will surely want one in my collection.

Curiously, today I also added another Bichon Frisé, the Deagostini one. I decided to start listing DeAgostini dogs on TAW. They're polyresin figures, not the traditional ceramics and they go nicely with the normal pvc figures.

These Planeta DeAgostini are polyresin versions of the Castagna (Italy) models. I'm sorry Mr. Ebay seller but I need to use your picture.
This Castagna is a 1992 piece while Planeta DeAgostini apparently are released since 1994.

Funny thing is I like the Schleich best of all 3.

I saw the Schleich locally and I also liked it, much more than the new Great Dane. I'll probably pick it up next time or wait to se if it gets on sale next year.
There's the 2021 Eikoh model which is very beautiful too but this one is really less affordable.

OK, here is my Bichon, when I started collecting figures I'd never expect to get this kind of figures but it is interesting how our collecting tastes develope with time. Since some wildlife collectors are enjoying dog figures these days, here is a comparison with the Papo polar wolf.
