I keep doing model horses wrong... Apparently you're supposed to evolve toward fancier, more advanced, more EXPENSIVE models. But you know I love an underdog... I got these in a mixed lot a couple years ago, and only properly looked at them recently. And dammit, they have their redeeming features! Lots of them! Fascinating how the sculptor has tried to represent the features of each breed while the painter has completely ignored them (these are from the K&M tube, with the black fjord). So I thought I'd give the fjord a more breed appropriate colour, and then why not just do the entire set? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Nope! I'm going to try not to resculpt anything, even if their lack of nostrils is killing me...

Aw, what lovely reimagining! I love this original set, but you're right, the K&M colors are . . . well, nothing, really. What beautiful work you managed on such tiny little figures!
