Schleichs for august

My Schleich buying has decreased lately, now that I no longer have a dealer nearby. Still, I've managed to snag a few goodies this month!

That's right, I finally found the lovely cheetah lady and her beautiful cat! Is it me, or are the animals from this series rather nicer than the regular ones? The cheetah has some weirdness going on around the jawline, but probably it's just fur. Her human companion isn't too bad either - a little skinny and unmuscular though, and I could definitely do without the mullet! She'll probably get a slight makeover at some point.

The other two were typical impulse buys. The doe is in such a great pose, and I thought she could be turned into an antelope without too much trouble. As for the bison calf... well, look at him! All fuzzy and with those adorable little hornlets...

It is probably on purpose that the child has lean muscles like the cheetah also has. Or so I think

Probably, but I'd like to see something less supermodel and more long distance runner. There's no shortage of skinny women in the world of action figures and models, but really muscular ones are as rare as fat ones.
