Great pics, love the way some are being taken out for a ride already! Can't wait to get my 2011 wildlife models....Germany has got the models first but UK suppliers still awaiting deliveries.....

You shoudn´t ride the yearling! Horses shoudn´t be riden until they are 3 years old

Congrats for getting the horses, nice pics! I've ordered mine too but the online shop which I use doesn't have them in stock yet. I'm starting to like the Pinto mare more now that I've seen some "natural" pics of her, she looked a bit weird in the catalogue picture in my opinion. I agree with SyLoBe about riding the yearling though The "family photoes" were nice, the Dartmoor stallion's mane is gorgeous!
I was really disappointed last year about the Lusitano, Shetland and Clydesdale "stallions" that were actually geldings. What about these new stallions are they stallions?

Yes I know, he's only 1 year old
But otherwise it would be a pity to do not use him to put on that purple ridingset
Purple looks like so nice on that colour of the yearling

Akah-Teke, i think is the only one that enought in 2011 horses :)

How i like in my shop 2011 schleich horses, stay there.. But they just come in the end of January, start of February.. But i will not bought all of them, just my favourite(s), the other's , i will bought until they get out from catalog

Torben, of course it matters Besides, I'm the daughter of a lawyer so if I get a gelding advertised as a stallion that's called fooling the customers in my opinion
What about the foals, are they mares or stallions? You see I always name my horses and I'm already trying to figure out nice ones but I can't think of names for the foals if I don't know their gender...

Falabella is a mare (I call her Nora)
Dartmoor is a mare (I call her Scarlet)
Pinto yearling is a mare (I call her Arrow)

My names of the pinto, dartmoor, akhalteke and falabella are: Fury, William, Amir, and Joy. :)

Nice to know someone else names their horses too! I'll tell the names of my horses once I have them in my hands because I can't be sure whether the name fits well before I see them IRL. Your names are nice :) I'm really into Shakespeare and other famous English writers so that's where I mostly get my inspiration (my Hanoverian stallion is called Othello and my Clydesdale stallion is called Macbeth ) I also use the names of movies (West Side Story for the Pinto stallion) and the names of songs in musicals (Tango de Roxanne, from Moulin Rouge, which is the name of my Hanoverian mare) Greek gods and goddesses are also good (Hera, Artemis, Apollo...)

I just think it's a mare, but it can't also be a stallion... Don't know, you can't see it on the underside
Her name is just Arrow, I give all of my schleichhorses a name

No I know why I don't understand nothing about horses! I was always seeing the legs, mane, head, pose, etc!
And I was missing the most important detail to avaluate the horses!
Sorry but I will keep not collecting horses!

I also think that is important to know if the horse is a gelding or a stallion, specially when it´s told to be a stallion and then you se he has not testicles xD

I don´t give names to my horses... They are too many!
