| The Belgian DURSO models were made by Mr. klimov in a very heavy compisition material from 1935 to 1972 in the city of Liège. The name DURSO means "DUR et SOLIDE" : HARD and SOLID. This company made a lot of soldiers in those years but also a circus, a farm, a zoo and a Tarzan and Congo serie. Here are some pics of the models I have

My parents have been to Gent, Susanne. I think I remember them saying it was a beautiful place. Yes, Gent is a lovely city, - actually Belgium is a very, very nice country. There are a lot of marvellous, ancient cities, and some fantastic mountains to the east also. Old castles everywhere, art and history, gorgeous food and kind people. I am a ltlle surprised, because at least here in Denmark nobody could ever dream about going there for a vacation, or even stop and look around on the way to France

| The main problem is not only the price... They are really rare, far more than LINEOLs for example |

| I live in Belgium :) I live a small hour away from Brussels. Never been to Gent though, i live in the countryside. And Gent is far from here. I live near Wallonia. The biggest nearby cities are Geraardsbergen & Halle. And i love to live here. The chocolate, the french fries, the waffles... and the beer ofcourse, but i'm a bit to youngh for that! Did you guys know i live in the village where the first Belgian Drafts where bred? There where 3 breeding farms for them in our small village! We also have a museum for this wonderfull breed. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is a picture of some horses, who live nearby my home :)

| Thank you Christophe for sharing photos of your Durso Collection. Do they say Durso somewhere on them or do you just have to have the knowledge about the figures so you can tell if they are Durso or Lineol or Hausser? Wonderful collection. ~ Sue |
