Any ideas as to why they are retiring the killer whale calf? They just introduced it not too long ago.

Welcome!!! It is not easy to know why sometimes some brands descontinue some figures. Anyway you have a new orca in the market for 2012, do you know it?

True, yes I know of it. Thanks! He's really beautiful! I'm glad that they finally decided to make a male.

From what Safari tells me is that they retire figures if they aren't selling.

That makes sense. I e-mailed them last week and I still haven't gotten a reply about it. Most likely because of the holiday. If they aren't selling, I doubt that they'll re-introduce it anytime soon.

Also retired (from a rather long time, though):

DEEP SEALIFE
- HATCHET FISH
- VIPER FISH
- BLACK LOOSJAW
- DRAGON FISH

PREHISTORY
- ARSINOITHRIUM
- MEGATHERIUM
- DOEDICURUS
- WHOOLY RHINOCEROS
- ALLOSAURUS (yellow version)

This is what I know about Safari ltd's retired pieces.
