Schleich 2011 Fighter Elephant

I like this great model. I get one at christmas.

This is the right scale for an elephant, the other elephants are african forest elephants, because they are very small. Forest elephants have half the size like savanna elephants.

War elephants were from the Indian subcontinent! I see some points that fit with a Asian elephant and others that remembers me African elephants! It's beautiful and weird at the same time.
It's impressive but I think more for war collectors than to animal collectors! The Safari WW is built much more according with our taste, I guess! ...and why an albino? I know there are some stories about albino elephants that had a important lace in wars but I'm not sure it was it. Maybe more apealing !

before I buy I have same thought as well is for wall collectors. But the scale for animal collectors. you are right that Safari WW is built more for us and properly will be my purchase!

Actually, the normal African Elephants should have the same scale as this White Elephant. Anyway, that's a wishful thinking on my part only of course they won't make that kind of huge model since it is meant for kids to begin with. And the price won't be very attractive to many consumers and some parents as well.

Thank you Ken! What a wonderful, detailed piece! Even the man figure is excellent - he's the first human figure i've liked.
Pity the elephant's outfit doesn't come off, but then it would be even more expensive, making all the little pieces with straps to attach them.

Maybe if enough people clamor for it, Schleich will release the elephant alone. One would hope they have a sculpt of the elephant without all that on him.

That's it, Schleich and other brands make smaller elephants to sell it better because being smaller, they are cheaper.
But now I ask, how much is a Schleich inacurate large dinosaur???
