Willy's Schleich additions...

Two days ago, just before eastern, i had this 13217 Schleich boar coming in, made in Germany, 1991-2003.

Nice pig! The dark spot on it's face is the shadow of it's ear?

Nice work, Willy. Aren't there two variants of this, based on dull vs. shiny finish, and maybe with some color variation? This one looks different than the one that I have, with respect to the above-referenced parameters. I know I have seen this with the 13224 Laying Pig.

The dark spot is the shadow of the ear indeed Zwartvoet!

Indeed another one to take of the list Amy, although i have to look out for other versions, as Phil mentioned.
This a the version with darker shades on his body, and there is a version with complete pink colouration, without those shades.
All of the older Schleich pigs have those colour-variations.
But mainly, because they were produced in different countries again.
I think, this is the oldest version, and it is made in Germany.

And mostly, you stumble on them by accident, when you have them in your hands, next to eachother, like i had today with some Schleichs that came in.

Rosa is pink in German...
I think the first version had pink hooves and snout, this version with some darker shades on it came later.
But like said before, the most of those older pig and piglet-models have at least 2 versions, mostly 3.
See on the collectors-sites for that.

Because i had to go to the city, i had to opportunity to buy some Schleich items in the sale today.

First i was shocked that one of the biggest ware-houses around here, still didn't have any of the 2010 items!

When i went to the toy-shop that sells Schleich too(i had to go there because i had to look for some sets for Torben), they had as i knew already, but just limited.
One of the guys of the shop told me, that the whole-sales dealer from Belgium, allowed only to buy from them in the future, and not from Schleich directly anymore, and that their list of items was very limited, missing very much of the complete Schleich lines...
They told me that, because i was looking for the Schleich plane...
And they will never have it as it seems, and same for many other items...
So this means internet shopping for me when it comes to new Schleich.

But for that, they had some other Schleich items with a nice discount, so i bought the next two items:

Yes, the right whale is a great model, and a shame that they didn't made it in the bigger series(1:32...)
I think, 6,50 euro is very cheap for a model like that...

The spruce-tree, or fir if you want, was 10,50 euro, which is cheap too i think, because they are out of the collection already, and will be harder to get in the near future.
So yes, i will get the bigger spruce, the hedge and the beech soon, to complete my Schleich trees...

Mon ami, the warehouse still hasn't any of the 2010 Schleich stuff, i e-mailded them about that last night, because the new stuff for 2011 is almost coming, thats not normal i think!
The toyshop will have Schleich, but only what the whole-sales company will offer them, and that is very limited.
But buying them in the internet is cheaper anyway...

yes, this right whale is too small and it's a shame because this model is younger than the Gray whale and some of the "false 1:32" sea animals.

I still don't understand why Schleich still call this line "1:32" since they are not and this false information will not enhance the models either

On those barnicles on the body you can recognize the southern species of the right whale by the way.
The scale is about 1:85 actually in this case, but ok, it was not in the so called 1:32 series.
On my website, i try to give the correct scale on animals, as i messure them up, and compare that with the real animal.

Today i had a vey big Schleich lot coming in, 31 pieces!
But as time runs already on me again, i will put them on here when i am home tonight from work.
Many retired models, from several series, like the corall-fish, farm, birds of prey and wild-life...
