I got some time this figures in a local shop and on Internet and what was my surprise at the different colour variatons..

Papo leopard

Interesting variations. In Papo figurines, I've noticed the paintwork differs.

Well, better late than never

I LOVE these variations !
The croc is really differently painted.
Amazing how the shades of the leopards makes them look different !
I have the dark version, it looks a bit dull

As Harriet says, Papo makes an awful lot of variations, planned as well as unplanned.
A nightmare or a blessing for collectors of variations..that is how you see it

But it surely is a problem for the Net-shops, as it is extremely hard for them to bring the correct pictures of the actual figueres they have in stock

Thought I would get this started

I have three variations of this Safari Cobra :) two look the same from the front but the back of the hood on one is more tricolored.

One has orange horns and is alot darker very different :) The one on the Left is made in China the other made in Germany

Maybe it would be a good idea to put what country they were made in so we will know what variation came from where?? would that make sense

Rusty, this subject is interesting and of course it is even more interesting knowing where figures are made. Mainly in Schleich figures. :)

Here are my variations, all of which are Schleich. Does different versions from different years count? I don't collect variants, these are just doubles.

Clydesdales both made in China

Donkey The one on the left is made in Portugal (the older version) and the right one is made in China

Shire foals, I couldn't find a picture of them from side view, but one is more of a sandy colour and has different markings on the face, both made in China

Andreas, I am not sure if any of these bears is from VEB Plaho. As far as I remember the age of "DDR", there were some bears sold in sets with Indians, they are "Fischer KG" origin. The mold is not the same, see the pics:

This brown VEB Plaho bear (with two cubs) is the first figure in my collection (later I added some older figures but this one was the real start point for me as collector)...

I think you are right. Just if you say this, i remember me that i becames 2 of this bears with indians.
And this was not VEB Plaho.
But i dont know why they produced/ painted a polar bear.
