Repainted baroque pinto gelding by Collecta

Yes, I know they call it "stallion", but he has no balls, you know

Soooo I bought the baroque pinto gelding by Collecta (the same mold as the friesian) and decided I had to give him a new coat, because his OF was HORRIBLE. I wanted to try a very unusual kind of coat, and I painted him as a classic (or brown, or coyote) dun brindle minimal tobiano.

-Dun means that the horse has the Dun gene, which causes primitive markings: the dorsal stripe and other zebra markings, like the ones on legs, on withers or forehead. It also dilutes the base color into a greyish coat. In this case, my horse is a bay based, so his coat is called classic dun, brown dun or coyote dun.

-Brindle is a mutation that causes wrong migration of melanocytes fron neural crest. Melanocytes are the cells that produce the pigment, and when we are an embryo they are in the neural crest, which is the mature spinal cord. Then the melanocites travel from the spinal cord to their final place. Brindle is a mutation which causes that melanocytes don´t travel well and causes this kind of pattern.

-Minimal tobiano means that the horse is tobiano but with few markings.
